Remembrance Sunday
Post in Community Groups & Events by James BissettTime to pause and reflect
Hello Fiends,
Since coming to the area in 2016, it has been my honour to participate in the annual Remembrance Sunday service for Contin and Garve, so I don't take this decision lightly. However, in line with guidance from the Scottish Government and the Royal British Legion, I am afraid that it would be inappropriate to have a public gathering at the war memorials in the parish this year. I would encourage everyone instead to pause and reflect on Remembrance Sunday and give thanks for the service and sacrifice of all those who have served and continue to serve.
Along with my wife, Rev Susan Cord from Killearnan and Knockbain parish, I will be preparing a Remembrance Sunday service which will be shared on the following link before 8th November. This will include the memorials at Fodderty, Contin, Garve and Strathconnon. KandKCofS A direct link to the service, rather than to the Youtube Channel will follow soon.
I pray you remain safe and healthy and we may gather together safely very soon.
