Post in Community Groups & Events by Morven MacDonald
The next Qigong for Beginners taster session is on Wednesday 10th February at 6pm. We need at least 4 booked for these fully funded taster classes to go ahead.

We have had great feedback from the first session. Give it a try and book by contacting me via the link below or email me direct

Some of the feedback from last week:

Please do add your feedback in the comments below or contact us directly. It really helps us know how it is going and encourages others to give it a try so we can offer it on an ongoing basis, not just taster sessions.

Our Taster Day tutor, Marie Pierre, is offering a beginners Qigong class via Zoom

This was a very popular class at our Taster Day in February last year so I am hopeful many will take this opportunity to benefit and enjoy it. You do not need any special clothing or equipment. Just as long as you are comfortable, can move freely and it is up to you whether you wear shoes or not.

To give it a try contact me by clicking HERE and completing the brief contact info requested. I will forward your email address to Marie- Pierre and you will get a reply from Marie-Pierre in advance of the class with a link to join the Qigong Zoom session on Wednesday 10th Feb at 6pm. Check your Spam and Junk email for the response.

What is Qi Gong?

Here is a clip I found online to give you a reminder of the Qigong movements. You can dip in and out of the clip to get a feel for it. Click here Qigong Clip

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Many health care professionals recommend Qigong as an important form of alternative complementary medicine. Qigong creates an awareness of dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programs. Qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual. All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus.

Taster Sessions

We are able to offer 3 Qigong taster sessions  in total which will be fully funded by LCT via the Activate Garve & District project.  If the sessions are well attended we will make a plan to continue the sessions.

Join in and give it a go! What better time to try something new!

Zoom Training

If anyone needs any assistance with using Zoom please contact me (Morven) directly by clicking HERE or using my regular email address. I am happy to talk it through on the phone or do a tester training Zoom session with you 1-1.
